Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.

Last Sunday, the get-together of our Rotary GSE South Africa team finally materialized. Thanks to the never-say-die attitude of Bea aka Bega for tirelessly arranging the event.
It has been 2 years since we represented District 3820 to District 9300 but the memories are still fresh as new. It was really a life-changing experience.
Bea chose Isdaan as the venue of the lunch-out. It has become very popular since it opened last year. The place is Asian inspired with weird animal statues, cartoon characters and world-movers here and there.
Call time was 11ish. Bea, being the graceful host, was there early and ordered food immediately. Yay!
So we came and it was riot.
It was fun seeing everybody bring a little bit of South Africa with them. Paul and Aldwin wore their Bafana Bafana world cup shirt. I brought my South African flag and pin, and Bea paid for everything that we ate. Yay!
No second was lost. Chatter was incessant. Reminiscing the fun times we had in Johannesburg, our lovely host families, newest happenings in each other’s lives, and on and on we droned. I went home with a sore throat.
Too bad Doc Lynne missed the event but for sure there will always be a next time. Maybe in CamSur. Who knows? 😉
And yeah, did a courtesy call with Obama.
And photo op with Donald Duck. Too bad Snoopy aint around. 😉
Thanks to my very good friend Enoc Malonzo for the great Isdaan photos.
Isdaan is located in Calauan, Laguna.
