Today is Mom’s special day.
She was on a birthday holiday and she decided to spend it in the hospital.
Well, a part of her day. She has been having therapies for her back as what the doctor has advised her and the sessions are doing her good. Her back pains are going… going… and soon gone hopefully. Mom’s therapist saw in her form that it’s her birthday today so they made “kantyaw” (Ano bang English sa kantyaw? Tease?) for a birthday blowout. Well, wish granted. On our way to pick Mom up in the hospital, she asked us to get them some food. Yay!
And since the parents will have a prayer meeting in the evening, Kuya rounded up everybody and decided to celebrate Mom’s birthday over lunch.
Off to Los Banos we went. The first choice was Ding Hao but everybody groaned and complained. 🙂 My sister chose Mio Cucina (again).
We were glad that we booked a reservation on the way and ordered dishes in advance because the place was packed. Well, given the capacity of the place, I can imagine. They can only seat about 24 people max.
I asked for the small room they have which can seat a max of six persons. Dad was a little uneasy because he said the space was too cramped. Well, he has no choice! 🙂 We were famished so after taking our seats and ordering some more, the ready dishes were served. Yay!
And the staff were so nice because after recognizing that it’s Mom’s birthday today, they played a Happy Birthday song over their stereo and gave her a cute cake.
But the best part of the lunch aside from the food was that the birthday girl paid for everything. Yay! I wasn’t able to stop myself from singing a very loud Happy Birthday song. 🙂 Sinong kuripot? Ahahahahahahaha.
Happy birthday Mmy. We may not see eye to eye all the time but I know that you just want what’s best for me, for us. We are so happy that you are our Mom because we will never grow up as productive citizens of the world without your guidance, love and care.
Love you Mmy. And don’t worry, you don’t look 57. I am sure a lot will agree. 🙂
I just have to share this photo.
Too bad the kids weren’t there. School sucks when you miss the birthday celebration of your lola, errr… I mean Mommy Mher.
